Preperation

Before we start brewing, there are some things we need to prepare.
    • Have a kettle ready with at least 1000 ml of water, a scale and a grinder.
    • We will be setting our kettle for 96℃ degrees.

    Brewing

Chemex Coffee Maker Step 1 Weigh out 25 grams of coffee and grind it on a medium-coarse setting.
Chemex Coffee Maker Step 2 Rinse the filter with hot water. Chemex filters are 25% thicker than other options, so LOTS of water is needed.
Chemex Coffee Maker Step 3 After removing the water, place the ground coffee into the filter.
Chemex Coffee Maker Step 4 Add 75ml of water and let it bloom for 30 seconds. At 30 seconds, use a spoon to agitate the grounds for further saturation.
Chemex Coffee Maker Step 5 We will slowly add water in a circular motion until the scale reads 400ml for a continuous pour. Your arm will tire, but the coffee will be worth it!
Chemex Coffee Maker Step 6 Give it a gentle stir around the edges, making a half circle in each direction.
Chemex Coffee Maker Step 7 When its done draining, you can discard the filter or compost it.
Chemex Coffee Maker Step 8 Serve it up and enjoy!
